A specialty café in the heart of Eixample. We started Bonsai Coffee & Matcha as a physical space before the online shop — a place in Barcelona where you can experience what ceremonial-grade Japanese matcha actually tastes like when prepared properly. Coffee, matcha, and a handful of exceptional pastries. That's it.
What We Serve
Our menu is intentionally short. We do very few things, and we do them well.
- Ceremonial matcha — prepared fresh to order from the same stone-ground Japanese powder we sell online. Served usucha-style, as a latte with your choice of milk, or iced.
- Specialty coffee — single-origin espresso and filter coffee, sourced and rotated seasonally.
- Hojicha — our roasted Japanese green tea, served warm or iced. Deep, earthy, almost coffee-like. Zero bitterness.
- Pastries & baked goods — a rotating selection including gluten-free and vegan options. Matcha cookies, croissants, and cakes baked fresh daily.
Everything on the menu is available to take away.
