The Matcha Tasting Kit is the perfect way to explore our ceremonial matcha range and signature hojicha. Each kit contains four individually packed 10g bags of Zen, Asahi, Yūhi, and Hojicha — enough for several cups of each.

Whether you're new to matcha or looking to find your daily go-to, this set lets you taste the difference between single-cultivar, blended, and roasted Japanese teas.

WHAT'S INSIDE

Zen — Single-cultivar Okumidori from Kagoshima. Calm, smooth, and naturally rich in umami with a gentle sweetness and deep, rounded finish.

Asahi — Ceremonial matcha from Kyoto. Smooth umami flavour with gentle sweetness, a creamy texture, and a refined finish.

Yūhi — A Kyoto blend of four cultivars: Tsuyuhikari, Yabukita, Saemidori, and Okumidori. Mellow sweetness with gentle umami and a soft, balanced finish.

Hojicha — Roasted green tea powder from Japan. Warm, toasty aroma with a naturally sweet, nutty character and hints of caramel. Naturally low in caffeine.

HOW TO PREPARE

Each 10g bag contains enough for approximately 5–7 servings.

Traditional matcha (usucha)

  • Sift 1–2g of matcha into a bowl
  • Add 70ml of water at 80°C
  • Whisk vigorously with a chasen (bamboo whisk) until frothy

Matcha latte

  • Sift 1–2g of matcha into a cup
  • Add a splash of hot water (80°C) and whisk until smooth
  • Top with 150–200ml of steamed milk or plant-based alternative

Hojicha latte

  • Add 2g of hojicha powder to a cup
  • Dissolve with a small amount of hot water
  • Top with steamed milk and sweeten to taste

Store in a cool, dark place. Best enjoyed within 30 days of opening.
